In order to improve the protein content of desert plant,the pBI121 plasmid,which contains a copy of GUS gene and kanamycin resistance gene,was introduced into Artemisaarenaria by corona discharge.PCR and RT-PCR detection showed that the Soybean Gy3 gene had been introduced into DNA of the regenerated plants of Artemisaarenaria successfully.Experimental results show that the indexes of physiological and biochemical of desert plant were effected by corona discharge.A method of genetically modified that can obtain efficient expression of transgenic plants was used.
