  Polarization handling is of fundamental importance in photonic integrated circuits.Most SOI wave guiding devices only function well for a single polarization, or even highly polarization dependent, such as the slot waveguides.Thus, polarization rotators are extremely desired in order to process the orthogonal polarized light.Here, we report a design of polarization rotator for slot structures from the vertical to the horizontal direction, or vice versa, and an ultra-short conversion length is demonstrated theoretically.
