The isogeometric Analysis directly passes the model information in the computer aided geometry design as the input to the subsequent finite element analysis.Consequently exact geometry is preserved in the analysis.Meanwhile, the basis functions such as B-splines and non-uniform rational B-splines have continuous higher order derivatives,as is very useful for the thin beam and plate analysis. In this work,a superconvergent isogeometric vibration analysis is carried out for thin beams and plates. This analysis is characterized by novel higher order mass matrices.
