Anaerobic and moderately halophilic bacterium,strain BZ-SZ-XJ27T,belonging to Halomonas genus,was isolated from a salt lake in Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of China.The closest relatives obtained from 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity were Halomonas campaniensis 5AGT,H.fontilapidosi 5CRT,H.korlensis XK1T,and H.sinaiensis SharmT,with these type strains of strain BZ-SZ-XJ27T showed the similarity values of 96.2-97.2%.
