Low dimensional nanostructures such as nanotubes, nanosheets and nanoribbons were widely used as the high-efficiency electron-transporting medium in optical and electrical devices. In this paper, highly ordered TiO2 nanotube arrays were grown on the Ti foil by a novel anodization method. The length of the TiO2 nanotube was optimized by varying the anodization time. The CdS quantum dots were absorbed on nanotube arrays by one-step chemical bath deposition (CBD) as the sensitizer. The influence of the anodization time and one-step CBD deposition time on the performance of The assembled solar cells were investigated. It is found that the one-step CBD deposition time may significantly impact on the short circuit photocurrent. When the one-step CBD reaction time was 6 min, the assembled solar cells showed the maximum power conversion efficiency of 1.77%.
