金陵遗址位于北京市西南90里的大方山麓,是金代帝王后妃及宗室的陵墓区,面积约60平方公里。其主陵区位于周口店镇西北龙门口村连山顶下的九龙山。2001年春,北京市文物研究所与房山区文物管理所共同对金陵主陵区进行考古调查,除发现主要陵寝、陪葬墓及主要遗迹外,还在遗址内零散出土大量的铁器,其中生产工具数量最多,有镐、凿、锤、锨、斧、剁斧、链等,另有少量兵器及生活用具。现将这些铁器选择较重要的分述如下:
