  Tyrosinase (EC 1.14.18.1), a kind of multiple functional oxidase containing di-copper catalytic core, plays an important role in melanogenesis of animals, vegetables and fruits browning and insect cuticle tanning process.Tyrosinase has both monophenolase activity and diphenolase activity.It can catalyze the hydroxylation of tyrosine and the oxidation of 3,4-dihydroxy-L-phenylalanine.Therefore, the work of screening strong and safe tyrosinase inhibitors attracts widely focus of scientists for the inhibitors promising application in cosmetic and agriculture including fresh-keeping and insecticide.In this paper, the inhibitory effects of benzylideneacetone, benzylacetone and 4-phenyl-2-butanol on the activity of mushroom tyrosinase were investigated.
