Since 2008, our Institution starting using endobronchial ultrasound-guided transbronchial needle aspiration (EBUS-TBNA) material for molecular testing of lung adenocarcinomas.Patients with a diagnosis of adenocarcinoma were reflexively tested for molecular markers by polymerase chain reaction, sequencing, and fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH).The testing panel from simple EGFR, KRAS and ALK to Lung Carcinoma Molecular Panel (AKT1, BRAF, EGFR, ERBB2,HRAS, KRAS, MET, NRAS, PIK3CA, STK11, TP53 utilizing the Ion AmpliSeqTM Cancer Hotspot Panel v2 and MEK1 utilizing Sanger Sequencing) by Next Generation Sequencing and Sanger Sequencing Analysis.
