Curcumin (Cur), a natural polyphenol derived from the rhizome of Curcuma longa, possesses a wide range of pharmacological effects including neuroprotective effect.However, the neuroprotective efficacy of curcumin is limited by its poor brain bioavailability due to poor absorption and rapid metabolism.Herein, a novel niosome system composed of nonionic surfactants including Span80, Tween80, poloxamer 188, sodium dodecyl sulfonate and Sephadex G50 was developed to address these issues.
