Integrated analysis of copy number alteration and gene expression revealed that,a copy number amplification/deletion doesnt always result in a concordant up-regulation/down-regulation in expression.This indicates the strong possibility of transcriptional regulatory mechanisms affecting gene dosage sensitivity.While research have already found that genes under the regulations of miRNA-TF forward loops tend to have lower dosage sensitivity,no research has discussed the impact of different types of co-regulatory motifs on gene dosage sensitivity in diseases.Therefore,using prostate cancer as an example,this paper has integrated the copy number and expression profiles of genes (PCGs and lncRNAs)and the co-regulatory motifs consisting of the transcriptional regulations by TFs and the post-transcriptional regulations by miRNAs to study the difference between lncRNAs and PCGs according to copy number,expression and dosage sensitivity.The paper has also discussed the impact of different types of co-regulatory motifs,and predicted prostate cancer-related lncRNAs using the features of known prostate cancer lncRNAs.
