Aim: The representative pentacyclic triterpenoids including madecassic, asiatic, ursolic and glycyrrhetinic acids, have been found to possess many pharmacological effects.This study is to conduct an analysis of fragmentation pathways of the four representative pentacyclic triterpenoids by LC-ESI-IT-MSn and the application to identify the in vivo conjugated metabolites.
