  Ningalin A was isolated from an ascidian of the genus Didemnum collected in western Australia near Ningaloo Reef by Fenical in 1997[1].Its highly condensed and symmetrical structure aroused our interest,and 3-amino-6,7-dimethoxy-2H-chromen-2-one was considered the precursor of it in our team(Scheme 1).
