Objective: To investigate the expression of zinc finger protein139 (ZNF139) in gastric cancer (GC) and its relationship with clinicopathological characteristics and prognosis.Methods: A total of 120 cases of gastric tumor paraffinembedded specimens and paired tumor-adjacent tissues were collected.Data on clinicopathological characteristics and prognosis were also recorded.Expression ofZNF139, Bcl-2, Bax,and caspase-3 was determined by immunohistochemistry.And the apoptosis index was tested by terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated dUTP-biotin nick end labeling assay.
