Fructus forsythiae is the desiccative fructus of Forsythia suspensa (Thunb.)Vahl.It mainly contains volatile oils, flavonoids and lignins.The α-Pinene and β-Pinene are dominant components in the volatile oils.With development of extractor and analysis techniques in Chinese pharmaceutical, such as GC-MS technique, components in volatile oils can be detected clearly.This makes guiding improvement of extraction of the volatile oil.Supercritical CO2 Extraction is a new technique which makes extraction, separation and concentration as one thing.Because it is non-toxic, cheapness and availableness, the SCDE is used widely in the extraction of active ingredient in medicinal plants.
