Nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB) regulates oncogenesis and tumor progression.One of the important functions of NF-κB is its ability to inhibit programmed cell death via anti-apoptotic or antinecrotic properties of this transcription factor.We characterized the effects of DNA adducts of antitumor cisplatin and ineffective transplatin on the affinity of NF-κB proteins to their consensus DNA sequence (κB site) both in cell-free media and in cellulo.
