Background Aortic aneurysm (AA) is a dilatation of the aorta.Abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) is a potentially fatal condition for the adult population.Tobacco smoking has been long considered to be a notorious risk factor for AAA because of a key component,BaP.Co-administration of Bap and Ang Ⅱ can induce the formation of AAA concomitantly with increment of macrophage infiltration.Simiao yongan Decoction (SMYAD) is a ployherbal Chinese medicine consisting of Lonicerae Japonicae Flos (45 g),Radix Scrophulariae (45 g),Radix Angelicae Sinensis (30 g) and Radix Glycyrrhizae (15 g).
