In the present work,an experimental investigation has been performed to analyze the performance of slinky horizontal ground heat exchangers(HGHEs).Copper tube with outer surface coated using low-density polyethylene was considered for GHEs pipes.The HGHEs were installed in the campus of Saga University,Japan.To compare the thermal performance of the slinky HGHEs in field,two types of orientations were considered such as reclined(parallel to ground surface)and standing(perpendicular to ground surface).Reclined and standing GHEs were installed at a depth of 1.5 m and 2.0 m respectively in the ground with 7 loops of 1.0 meter diameter of each loop.
