The unique advantages of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), e.g., structural adaptivity and flexibility, tunable ordered pores and multi-coordination sites, make them become outstanding candidates for many applications. Notably, recent efforts on design and construction of MOFs based nanostructures are offering novel opportunity to control size, shape and surface chemistry of MOFs, which further extend their applications in gas storage and separation, sensors, biomedicine and catalysis. In this talk, I will demonstrate the well-defined MOF-based nanostructures, especially the composites of MOFs and inorganic nanoparticles, could become emerging materials for challengeable catalytic reactions with obviously enhanced activity, selectivity and selectivity.
