Optimization of standing stability of bottles in production line

  Many factories suffer from the problem that bottles could usually be toppled down when crossing different speed conveyor belts in production line.In present paper, the multi-disciplinary design optimization approach is adopted to solve this problem.An exploring analysis is firstly performed to the inside diameter and outside diameter of the bottom, as well as the height of liquid inside and the gravity center of the bottle.Meanwhile, the friction efficient of the product line and the bottom of the bottle with different geometries and materials are numerical simulated with a CAE approach.The sensitivity factor is obtained through design of experiment (DoE).Then Isight has been utilized to perform integrated optimization and a series of Pareto solutions have been obtained.Multi-Criteria Data analysis based on these Pareto solutions has been performed and a convenient design aimed at improving the stability of bottles in product line could be provided and the best design of bottles with specific geometry and material could also be provided.The numerical results are in good agreement with the view from the engineers in the first-line.
