Chronic hepatitis C (CHC) is a kind of chronic liver diseases which is caused by hepatitis C virus (HCV) and complicated by cirrosis, cancer and fatty liver, etc.CHC is prone to fatty change of the liver compared with normal people.Leptin is a specific plasma protein of fatty tissue. There is hyperleptinemia in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) patients.Leptin is the hot spot of research about NAFLD in recent years. The link between leptin and the degree of liverinjury and hepaticfibrosis is still disputable. The relationship between leptin and hepaic steatosis induced by HCV is not clear.
