Hop stunt viroid(HSVd)is widely distributed around the world affecting numerous species,apricot included,in which is associated with "fruit degeneration disease".This disease affects organoleptic characteristics and reduces the fruit commercial value.Despite its importance,there are no specific studies about the resistance or susceptibility of apricot cultivars to this viroid.In this study we have tested the behavior against HSVd of 26 Mediterranean and North American apricot cultivars in controlled greenhouse conditions.
