Objective: The purpose of this study was to find out the factors affecting on implant success and survival rates of oral cancer surgery patients.Methods: The clinical and radiographic evaluations were performed for total 108 implants of 21 oral cancer patients who had received cancer surgery without radiation therapy and chemotherapy at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Chonnam National University Hospital, Gwang ju, Republic of Korea from November 2000 to November 2012.An evaluation of the effect of the bone type and the implant sites, and the length of the implant fixture on the implant success and survival rates was performed.
