Carbon nanotube (CNT) is apromising building block fornanofluidic devices due to itsunique properties.Since 2001,when Hummer et al.illustratedthe water transport through the inner space of CNT using molecular dynamics simulations, greatattention has been paid to the water transport behaviors inside theCNT.It has been shown that thevelocity of water flow inside theCNT is about several orders ofmagnitude faster than predictedby conventional theory due to itsfrictionless interface.In recentyears, people have been focusing on another important question that how to pumpingwater using CNT since it has such tremendous water flow behaviors.
