The matrix of agricultural produces is very complicated and presents a serious challenge for any analytical method.Analytical tests using antibodies as receptor tools have been used for more than 30 years in clinical chemistry fields.This technology has now been implemented in agricultural applications for the detection of toxins in crops and food.Due to the small size of the compounds, they must be chemically modified to make immunogens for the production of specific antibodies.Various strategies are applied in the production of useful antibodies and their properly matched enzyme conjugates to develop immunoassays.The advantage of monoclonal antibodies and polyclonal antibodies will be evaluated based on the desired specifications of the assay.
