Background: Sleep plays a role in a variety of regulation in body functions.The sleep duration and sleep quality are affected by environmental and psychosocial factors.One of the environmental factors,electronic media use,is reported to have negative impact on sleep.Hong Kong is one of the Asian regions with highest smartphone penetration rate.Around 90%of Hong Kong people own a smartphone and this data is much higher in young adults aged 18-29 years.
