The increased pain sensation during nerve injury and inflammation results from several mechanisms.Alteration of Ion channel expression could be one of these mechanisms since ion channel play crucial roles in determining excitability of nociceptors.Many ion channels are testified to be related with neuropathic and/or inflammatory pain;however, systemic and comparative studies on the profile of ion channels expression in neuropathic and inflammatory pain are sparse.
