Suspended sediment exchange,that is,suspended sediment gain and loss,are examined along the mainstem of the upper reach of Yellow River during the period 1952-2011.The study reach,which is name as Ning-Meng reach,extends from from Qingtongxia hydrological station in Ningxia Province to Toudaoguai hydrological station in Inner-mogolia,and is alluvial river where channel migrates frequently.The period includes basin conditions both of natural,1952-1960,and of human controlled,1960-2011,which means under the control of dams.
