@@ The aim of this article is twofold: to investigate the phonetic nature and to analyze the phonology of Hakka zero-initials. Hakka is one of the Chinese dialects. It is unique that Hakka is the only Chinese dialect that is not named on the basis of area or province. There is no specific area or province directly related to Hakka in China. However, there are Hakka people almost at every corner of China. Now most Hakka people live in the mountain shared by Guangdong, Jiangxi, and Fujian.
