  After Fukushima nuclear accident in Japan,the fiber reinforced silicon carbide composite has been considered as an indispensable new material to replace zircaloy for pressurized water reactor(PWR)nuclear fuel cladding.Its good resistance to radiation damage,low activation,excellent high temperature mechanical properties,high temperature chemical inert and high structural stability can ensure that no nuclear leakage occurred during nuclear accidents.However,the material has inherent low thermal conductivity and poor air tightness.
