Objective: To compare the biomechanical behaviors of three different implants in osteoporosis by three dimensional finite element analyses.Methods: Finite element models of posterior mandible segments with cylindrical implant (CI), fissured implant (FI) and expandable implant (EI) were created respectively.The segments had the biomechanical properties of osteoporosis.100 N and 30 N loads were applied along the implant axial (AX) and buccolingual (BL) directions respectively.The Max EQV stresses in jaw bones and the Max displacement in implant-abutment complex were evaluated.
