Introduction of high efficiency phosphor converted LEDs(pcLED)lamps into general lighting significantly reduces lighting energy consumption.At present blue InGaN chip and YAG:Ce phosphor are mostly in use.The main drawback of this phosphor is lack of the red component of the emission which results in low CRI index and high colour temperature.To lower the color temperature of the overall light and increase CRI,the yellow phosphor is blended with red phosphor.
