Quality control is crucial for ensuring the safety and effectiveness of herbal medicine such as Chinese medicines(CM).As we know,CM is usually used as whole plant and/or combination of several herbs,which contains more than tens to hundreds or even thousands of components.This greatly increases the difficulties for their quality control.Actually,it is considered that multiple constituents are usually responsible for the therapeutic effects of CM.
