Objective Human apurinicyapyrimidinic endonuclease (APE-l) is a DNA repair of oxidative base damage key enzyme, APE-1 can repair damaged DNA base which is caused by the reactive oxygen species (ROS).However, little is known about the role of APE-1 in Hp-infected gastric epithelial cell (GES-1) of oxidative DNA damage.Therefore, we examined different Hp concentrations and different times of Hp infection GES-1 cells, detecting the expression of DNA damage, 8-OHdG levels, ROS change and APE-1 expression to investigate the pathogenesis of Hp.
