The general aim of psychiatric research is to facilitate the diagnosis of psychiatric disorders using assessment instruments and testing of interventions in persons at high risk for prevention, rehabilitation and treatment.Psychiatric research brings unique challenges for statistical modeling and design of studies.The highlights of these challenges are in measurements, complex interventions, modeling and challenging populations.
