With the development of China’s economy and the expansion of air transportation needs,the construction of airports has also maintained a high level;however,the performance of pavement will gradually decrease,for the service time of pavement increase.If not be handled properly,such pavement disease will certainly affect the safe operation of aircrafts.At the same time,a reasonable time schedule is also essential for the maintenance and repair of large-scale airport pavement,which,makes it indispensable of developing a scientific and effective maintenance plan in advance.In view of the fact that some airports still use backward paperbased pavement management methods and rarely resort to modern information technology,so improving the informationization and intelligence of airport pavement operation management remains rather urgent.For the purpose of airport pavement operation management,this paper will base on the daily management and maintenance management process of airport pavement,using 2D and3 D GIS technology as a platform to graph airport pavement information,which will include functions such as pavement performance evaluation,performance prediction,disease display and maintenance decision-making etc.in order to provide managers with a fast and visual operation process through which the management efficiency of airport pavement will be largely improved.The main research contents of this paper are as follows:First of all,comprehensively introducing the research background,the status of airport pavement management systems over the world,pavement performance evaluation,performance prediction;then investigating the current situation of GIS technology and analyzing the development trend of this technology to further determine the research objectives and direction.By studying the application of GIS in digital cities,highways,and airports,and starting from the airport pavement management requirements,the overall design plan of the system based on GIS technology is further proposed.While fixing the goals and principles of system designing,this program describes the overall system framework and functional modules of each part,and determines the system platform configuration,appearance,and security.Secondly,in line with the airport pavement data management requirements,this paper will design the airport pavement zoning process as an airport pavement position reference system to manage airport spatial data and attribute data.At the same time,the method and content of data collection are introduced,and a multi-dimensional GIS airport pavement database is designed.Designing the airport pavement evaluation system from the perspective of pavement damage,structure,function and remaining life.At the same time,the ACN-PCN evaluation process will also be introduced to quickly determine whether the road surface is seaworthy.Then analyzing and summarizing the influence factors that affect the performance of the airport pavement,using US PAVER system as a reference to determine the method and process of establishing the prediction model.Finally,through the research of GIS technology,the display schemes of different dimensions of road surface performance diseases are determined.For the performance indicators,two-dimensional grading colors and heat maps are mainly used.For the diseases,three-dimensional display methods are used to retain the length,width and depth of the disease etc.Through the investigation of the airport pavement management system of each state in the United States,the system maintenance countermeasure library and daily operation content were determined.
