通过对社交媒体与现代婚姻两性关系之间的联系和社交媒体的发展历程与功能演变进行梳理发现,有学者认为社交媒体与现代婚姻两性关系之间存在一定联系,当社交媒体功能异化时,社交媒体会成为现代婚姻“杀手”。以泸州市农民工为例,通过调查和相关性分析发现,部分农民工存在“出轨”行为和想法,也有部分农民工的婚姻处于不稳定状态,农民工出轨和婚姻不稳定与社交媒体功能异化有一定联系,但并不存在因果关系,因此,社交媒体并非现代婚姻的“杀手”。
