数学离不开符号,如各种数量关系、量的变化及量与量之间进行推导和演算,无不是凭借符号(包括图形、图表等)进行的,可以说数学是一个符号化的世界。在新的课程改革中非常重视数学思想方法的渗透,而符号化的思想又是比较重要的一种思想,从认识符号、运用符号这两个方面简单地阐述了如何把符号化思想在小学数学教学中逐步渗透,即从低年级到高年级,不同儿童的认知规律也是不同的,应该从情景—变元—用字母表示数—列方程解运用题这样一条主线来逐步渗透符号化的思想。
