新疆蒙古族把内蒙古自治区使用的蒙文称作“胡都木”蒙文。他们现在也在提倡并开始使用“胡都木”蒙文。“胡都木”一词的含义,人们有着不同的说法。有的说“胡都木”是“托忒”的反义词。有的说可能是来自汉语的“糊涂”。
The Mongolian people in Xinjiang call Mongolian used in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region a Mongolian language. They are now advocating and starting to use “Hudu Mu” Mongolian. The meaning of the word “Hudumu” means that people have different opinions. Some say that “Hudu Wood” is the antithesis of “Totei.” Some may say “confused” from Chinese.
