The VB-type diesel engine recently launched by Hedemora Verkct (?) Der in Sweden was developed from its VA model. VA was put into production in the early 1960s, it is known for its long service life and easy maintenance. VB-type and VA-type main difference is: increased bore diameter, change the crankshaft neck diameter and connecting rod structure. VB-type bore from the VA-type 185 mm increased to 210 mm. As far as the diesel engine is concerned, VB is 100 mm wider and 350 mm higher and longer than VA. V18A maximum power of 2300 horsepower, and V18B’s power increased to 3500 horsepower.
