既然Notes最新版本和Domino服务器已经发货,Lotus公司正在把注意力转向桌面系统。这家IBM子公司正在为它的Notes群件和Domino WWW服务器开发一系列新的Components(部件)应用和客户端软件,其中包括代码名为Mad Dog的瘦客户端软件。这项工作与IBM为Web开发者把早些Internet服务发展成Component应用的计划是协调一致的。
Since the latest version of Notes and the Domino server have been shipped, Lotus is turning its attention to the desktop system. The IBM subsidiary is developing a series of new Components applications and client software for its Notes groupware and Domino WWW servers, including a thin client code code named Mad Dog. This work is consistent with IBM’s plan for Web developers to develop earlier Internet services into Component applications.
