长链非编码RNA(lncRNA)广泛参与细胞的生理及病理学过程,特别是在肿瘤生物学行为方面。HOX转录反义RNA(HOTAIR)是功能研究最为深入的lncRNA之一。HOTAIR过表达可以沉默特定抑癌基因的表达并促进多种上皮系统来源恶性肿瘤,如乳腺癌、结直肠癌等的发生及转移,抑制肿瘤中HOTAIR表达能有效抑制肿瘤细胞生长与侵袭能力。2016年第43卷第16期“国家基金研究进展综述”栏目刊出1篇来自天津医科大学肿瘤医院
Long-chain non-coding RNA (lncRNA) is widely involved in the physiological and pathological processes of cells, especially in the biological behavior of tumors. HOX Transcription Antisense RNA (HOTAIR) is one of the most profoundly studied lncRNAs. Overexpression of HOTAIR can silence the expression of specific tumor suppressor genes and promote the occurrence and metastasis of many epithelial-derived malignancies, such as breast cancer and colorectal cancer. Inhibition of HOTAIR expression in tumor can effectively inhibit tumor cell growth and invasion.
