甘薯薯块体积大,含水多、皮薄,易破皮受伤感染病害,对贮藏期温度要求较严,不能象其他作物种子采用控制温、湿度建立基因库进行长期保存。过去沿用田间栽植与室内贮藏相结合的方法保存。它的弊病很多:首先,种植需要一定的土地及人力、物力进行管理;其次,大田栽培易受病虫害和自然灾害的袭击;第三,许多品种在一起种植能增加病毒感染机会,以致扩大毒源;第四,由于品种繁多,在种植和收贮过程中易造成人为机械混杂;第五,品种交换中若不注意检疫易造成病虫害的蔓延。由于长期采用原有的保存法必将引起良种变劣,产量降低。为此,二年来我们对应用组织培养保存甘薯品种资源和良种繁育做了一些探索。现介绍
