In 2006, when a new 180t ladle was refinished, the reactive power was newly refurbished during the last 180t ladle refining process. The voltage fluctuation and harmonic current produced by smelting of the ladle refining furnace affected the operation of the electric blower of the power plant. The solution to the problem was proposed by using the original Static compensation device into a dynamic reactive power device, the power grid quality to meet the requirements of national standards.
