本文旨在抛砖引玉,探讨如何将交际法应用于中国的外经贸英语函电教学,并非对交际法在理论上做深入研究。所探讨的具体问题,涉及外经贸英语函电教学的各个方面,从教材到教学法,再到练习及考试。对这些问题,均从交际法的角度加以剖析,并以中国学生学习外经贸英语函电时所写的英语句子作为实证。作者的部分观点,即使不被人当作是背离传统常规,也可能被视为对传统教学法的挑战。
The purpose of this article is to initiate a discussion on how to apply the communicative approach to the teaching of English correspondence in foreign trade and economics in China. It is not an in-depth study of the communicative approach in theory. The specific issues discussed touch upon all aspects of English correspondence teaching in foreign trade and economics, from teaching materials to teaching methods, to practice and examinations. All of these issues were analyzed from the perspective of the communicative approach, and English sentences written by Chinese students when they studied English for foreign trade and economics were used as evidence. Part of the author’s view, even if not seen as a departure from traditional conventions, may also be seen as a challenge to traditional pedagogy.
