Children’s nutrition meals relate to children’s health and the future of the country. In November 2011, the State Council issued the “Opinions on Implementing Nutritional Improvement Schemes for Rural Compulsory Education Students” (Guo Ban Fa [2011] No. 54) and carried out pilot projects in 699 counties in 22 provinces in China. The nutrition improvement program is mainly aimed at special difficult areas with contiguous rural areas, benefiting 26 million students. At present, this work has achieved remarkable results, but many thorny problems have also emerged at the same time.
