葛浩文翻译《狼图腾》时面临诸多的限制,他在译文中通过增、减、变等方法挣脱了原文的束缚,在没有背叛原文意义的前提下成就了一篇广受欢迎的译文,其成功以及所用方法对目前翻译活动有一定的借鉴意义。
Ge Haowen faced many limitations when translating “Wolf Totem”. He broke free from the shackles of the original text by adding, subtracting, changing and so on. He made a popular translation on the premise of not betraying the original meaning. The success and the methods used have some reference to the translation activities at present.
