菊科(Compositae)豚草属(Ambrosia)植物中大多是世界性的公害杂草,它不仅是过敏性变态症状的病原植物,也是农田的恶性杂草。原产北美加拿大。本世纪20～40年代,随着国际商业、农业交往已传播至欧美及亚洲大部分国家。大约在30年代随种子进口传入我国,首先侵入我东北三省,抗日战争期间随日本军马饲料蔓延至长江流域。近年来,由于忽视防治和检疫,已在江苏、浙江、安徽、河南、河北、江西、湖南、湖北、北京、上海等12个省市造成危害。这对我国农业生产和人民健康造成了严重威胁。据调查,传入我国的豚草属植物有豚草和三裂叶豚草两种。
