第一次大革命时期,平江工农运动经历了一个由萌芽到发展再到高潮,最后转入低谷的过程。平江的工农运动兴起早,而且建立了湘鄂赣第一支农民革命武装,但是工人运动与农民运动发展不平衡。平江工农运动对湖南乃至中国的革命斗争产生了巨大的影响,它不仅有力地支援了北伐战争,而且锻炼了工农革命队伍,为第二次革命高潮的到来准备了力量。当然,它也有一定的局限性,在革命高潮时表现出严重的盲动主义错误。
During the first revolution, the Pingjiang workers and peasants movement went through a process from sprout to development to climax and finally to the bottom. The workers and peasants movement in Pingjiang rose early, and the first revolutionary peasant revolution in Hunan, Hubei and Jiangxi was established. However, there was an imbalance in the development of the workers’ and peasants movements. The Pingjiang Workers’ and Peasants Movement exerted a tremendous influence on the revolutionary struggles in Hunan and even China. It not only strongly supported the Northern Expedition but also tempered the revolutionary ranks of workers and peasants, preparing for the arrival of the second revolutionary climax. Of course, it also has its own limitations. At the height of the revolution, it showed serious mistakes in the form of blind allegiances.
