Caltrans, Calif., Ordered nine F59PH diesel locomotives operating at 177km / h from GM’s Electric Power Unit (EMD) to tow intercity trains. The F59PH locomotive is equipped with a 12-cylinder 710G3A diesel engine that delivers 2237kW of power for train traction and 600kW for train power.
