从Trip-Hop这一音乐潮流被命名开始,到1998年达到第二次顶峰时期之后,就很少有媒体再大肆宣扬,这一音乐潮流看似已经落潮,但其实依旧有许多地下或独立乐队孜孜不倦地沿着前辈走过的路继续着对缓拍的实验。而与不同音乐类型的融合似乎是个不错的出路,其中最好不过的自然是同工业或歌特之类的阴暗音乐的通婚,因为就其Trip-Hop音乐本质而言,也是更偏向阴暗糜烂的一派氛围音乐。另外一派则走的是阳光大道,有同大量弦乐集合的,有同爵士融合的,甚至还有同探戈调配在一起的。第三派则截然不同于前两者,更偏向纯电子一些,包括与Drum’n’ Bass的串联以及采用Dub手法。最后一些则完全抛弃了电子硬件,重新回归到真乐器上来,并且把Shoegazing、
From the time when the music trend of Trip-Hop was named, to the second peak in 1998, there was very little media to hype.
